Hi Ryan,

You make a great point with this piece. Last month, I had the goal to get into the largest publications I could find. Now, after a conversation with a friend of mine and after reading your piece, I realize that there are really good reasons to write for small publications too.

Going forward, I'm going to submit my work to a range of publications in terms of both size and topic. I see Medium as a community of writers and readers, and the more editors I can connect with, the better. We're all in this together, and I look forward to collaborating with editors of smaller pubs.
